As part of our ongoing commitment to transparency and public records auditing, the interactive map below tracks the known physical locations of Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) cameras—specifically those operated by Flock Safety—across our region and the country. These systems continuously capture and store vehicle movements, creating expansive, often unmonitored mass-surveillance networks.

This mapping tool is provided by DeFlock (deflock.me), an independent, privacy-focused open-source project created by developer and privacy activist Will Freeman. Built on top of OpenStreetMap, DeFlock relies on a dedicated grassroots community of contributors and researchers who physically locate and catalog these surveillance devices to make them visible to the public. Deflock is a completely independent initiative (recently defended by the Electronic Frontier Foundation) aimed at shining a light on the unchecked expansion of ALPR technology and empowering the public to take action. All map data and infrastructure embedded below belong to the DeFlock project and its community contributors.
